Job Description
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our AP Integrations Team at Montopay. You will be part of a growing group of developers that builds integrations and custom AI Agents to streamline invoice processing across accounts payable portals — web-based platforms where large organizations manage invoice submission, purchase order matching, and payment workflows with their suppliers.
The integrations we build already process thousands of invoices daily across multiple platforms, acting on behalf of suppliers to eliminate manual work and accelerate payments. You will join the developers behind these solutions as we scale and take on increasingly complex challenges.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop new integrations using Puppeteer, Playwright, and custom AI Agents built on LangGraph to automate invoice processing and data extraction across accounts payable portals
- Improve existing integrations, enhancing performance, reliability, and code quality with well-structured, maintainable solutions
- Contribute to the observability of our integrations by improving monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Able to work independently and take end-to-end ownership, from problem definition through implementation and rollout
- Manages priorities effectively, balancing speed and quality while keeping stakeholders informed
- Collaborates with engineers in a constructive, low-ego way — gives and receives feedback, and raises concerns early
- Comfortable partnering across time zones and disciplines, aligning on priorities and unblocking others when needed
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Proven track record in web automation, backend development, or full-stack engineering
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with web automation frameworks such as Puppeteer or Playwright
- Solid understanding of modern web technologies and general web development principles
- Experience working with MongoDB or other document-based databases
- Experience building and maintaining serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda)
- Experience working with Docker and containerized environments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Sentry)
- Ability to design, build, and maintain production-grade systems end-to-end
